ComFlex ACU Series DAS System

The Comba ComFlex Active Conditioning Unit (ACU) DAS is a modular, multi-technology RF signal conditioner designed to be flexible and deliver reliable wireless service coverage to both indoor and outdoor environments. Engineered to handle large venues such as stadiums, arenas and airports, the ACU can handle multi-carrier, multi-band and multi-sector system architectures. The ACU can be fed RF through a multiple of sources including BTS (Base Station) through Comba's ACU solution, Small Cell as well as a base station's over-the-air RF signal received through a donor antenna mounted on the roof.

The ACU is comprised of a 19" rack mountable chassis, control unit, power supply and slots for up to 8 RF modules. The unit can be expanded to cascade 4 ACU's together for maximum flexibility and independently configured to work with any DAS equipment including Comba's Fiber Optic Unit (FOU) and Remote Units to deliver a state-of-the-art and truly future-proof system that can be upgraded anytime.

Features:

• Low PIM (≤ -160dBc)
• Up to 8 RF modules for each chassis
• Up to 32 sources by 4 ACUs, cascaded
• Duplex input from BTS / Simplex output
• DL input power from 5W-100W
• Each RFU has built-in internal signal source
• Web-based GUI
• Active ATT, input power detection and ALC protection for each RF module

Depending on the venue size, required carrier/bands, the ComFlex ACU DAS can be designed to meet the needs of the venues specifics needs. An example of a large multi-sector, MIMO system architecture diagram is below.

ComFlex 6100 Series DAS System

The Comba ComFlex DAS is a modular, multi-carrier, multi-technology system that offers flexible and reliable wireless service coverage to both indoor and outdoor environments. At the heart of the system is the Head End Unit, or Master Unit, a compact, 19" rack mountable tray that holds the Controller Unit, Fiber Optical Units and can hold up to 8 RF modules. The unit can be fed RF through multiple of sources including BTS (Base Station) through Comba's ACU solution, Small Cell as well as a base station's over-the-air RF signal received through a donor antenna mounted on the roof.

The Master Unit can support 8 sources and feed up to 8 remote units. If the venue is larger and more than 8 remotes units are required, the system can take support an additional 8 remotes through adding an additional 19" rack mounted Fiber Optical Expansion Rack.

Either Master Unit can be configured and controlled through physical tethering or remotely using the simple, easy to use web interface.

Features:

• Integrated RF source access and optical conversion in one chassis
• Modular design for flexible field upgrade and easy maintenance
• Independent gain control of each RF source
• Supports 8 sources
• Supports 8 or 16* Remote Units (RU)

Depending on the venue size, required carrier/bands, the ComFlex DAS can be designed to meet the needs of the venues specifics needs. An example of a typical, off-air, multi-band system architecture diagram is below.

ComFlex mBDA DAS System

The ComFlex BDA (Bi-directional Amplifier) is a compact, 19" rack mountable chassis that can hold up to 6 RF modules. The unit can be fed RF through a multiple of sources including BTS (Base Station) through Comba's ACU solution, Small Cell as well as a base station's over-the-air RF signal received through a donor antenna mounted on the roof. Designed as an affordable DAS system that can be configured for venues up to 50K square feet.

Features:

• Modular design for flexible field upgrade and easy maintenance
• Independent gain control of each RF source
• Self-guided commissioning
• Simple web GUI interface
• Supports 6 bands
