Safer Buildings Coalition Adds Wireless Industry Veteran to its Board of Directors

 

Milpitas, Calif. – September 5, 2018 –  Comba Telecom, Inc., a subsidiary of Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Ltd., and a leading global wireless solutions provider, today announced that the Members of Safer Buildings Coalition elected Comba Telecom’s, Patrick Lau, a current SBC Board Member as Vice President to its Board of Directors. 

The Safer Buildings Coalition (SBC), a non-profit organization, established in 2012, its mission is to focus on advancing policies and ideas that lead to more buildings being served with commercial and public safety wireless coverage; it also provides advocacy and education related to in-building communication issues and brings awareness to solutions that will enhance indoor communications capabilities for the general public and public-safety first responders.

The Vice President Board position is a three-year term, with Lau serving as Vice President the first year, President and then Immediate Past President for the next two years. SBC’s Board of Directors is crucial in directing the Coalition to achieve its overall goals and initiatives.  The Board also works closely with FCC, FirstNet™, SBC’s member companies and working groups to develop and conduct extensive trainings, review and comment on policies relating to in-building fire protection, industry white papers and case studies as well as other collateral to push its advocacy forward.
